Bigfoot Lives In Wisconsin

Bigfoot Lives In Wisconsin!

(This is a true account of an encounter with a Bigfoot. The person who told me this story does not want their name revealed at this time to the public. However they would be willing to talk to Bigfoot researchers about this amazing subject. To the best of my knowledge the person who told me this story did indeed encounter the creature we call Bigfoot, or an animal similar to Bigfoot.)

Late Summer 1989

Central Wisconsin

I was raising pumpkins that year to sell around Halloween. We had a good 80 acres under cultivation with pumpkins being the main crop. We had good pumpkin growing weather and we ended up with a bumper crop.

My three kids helped a lot that year, they loved the pumpkin project and were excited about the profits we were going to make. Everyone had something special they wanted to buy with their "pumpkin money".

Everything was going great, the pumpkins were thriving, and everyday the kids would go out, walk the farm, and check on their pumpkins. It was a beautiful August day, and I was busy canning produce from the garden, when I heard the kids yelling over something. They raced through the kitchen and held up several pumpkins that looked like they were eaten by something huge, like a bear. You could see the squared off grooves in the pumpkins which were teeth marks left behind. Only the upper half of the pumpkins were eaten, the rest was thrown back on the ground. Strange! And the bite radius was another strange thing, it was simply huge, about 18" wide! Of course I am no expert at things like this, and I could have been looking at one bite mark directly next to another bite mark. But, that would still mean at bite radius of 9".

I could think of no animal with a mouth that large with squared off teeth, meaning it was not a meat eater. I told the kids to stay close to the house, of course they did not listen. I was a little worried about it at the time, but everyday life took over and with three kids I was too busy to dwell on it. I soon forgot the entire incident, until a week later.

All three kids came barreling in the kitchen, so excited and screaming that I thought someone had died at first. They were all talking at once, the youngest one was crying and wet its pants all over the kitchen floor.

After a few minutes of complete chaos they settled down and told me what they were so excited about. It seems they saw something that looked like a gorilla in the pumpkin patch, eating the pumpkins. I took the shotgun out of the gun case and decided to find out what was scaring my children. What went through my mind was that somehow a gorilla escaped from a zoo and made its way to my farm. Although it was a far fetched theory I

could think of no other logical explanation.

Of course by the time I drove down into the field, there was nothing there except for hundreds and hundreds of half eaten pumpkins. I knew then that whatever creature this was, it had to go. It was eating up our pumpkin profits, it was scaring my children, and it was getting to be aggravating. I knew then that I would have to take things into my own hands and try to frighten this creature into some other area. I had no intention of telling anyone else about this, I would handle it myself.

Bigfoot War!

Bigfoot War

Because I did not know what I was dealing with, I decided to be safe rather than sorry.

I was not used to shooting things, and I did not like guns, so I asked younger brothers for some help, telling them that there was something like a bear on my farm and I wanted them to scare it off to a new location.

My brothers Fred and Wil were both pretty good shots. I was not worried that they would be unable to defend themselves if need be. I was certainly not prepared for their reactions to whatever was living with us on the farm. I had never seen my brothers so frightened as when they came racing into the house, slamming the door behind them, locking my youngest child out on the front porch by accident. Both of them were shaking and they looked very pale.

It took a half a bottle of whiskey to calm them down before they were ready to talk about what they had seen. They both claimed they saw something like a huge man ape. The fur was black and brown and it moved like a human. My brothers guessed the height to be somewhere between 7-8 feet tall, and perhaps as much as 500 pounds in weight. This is not something you wanted to meet in the woods alone. It was the very stuff of nightmares, and I found it hard to sleep that night as I wondered what lurked in the woods, perhaps watching me and my children. I had convinced my brothers to live with me until we were able to get this situation under control. I was not about to leave my farm, I planned to stay and stand my ground. After all, I was here first, or at least I thought I was.

The last days of summer soon played out and the kids went back to school. Since my brothers' encounter with the beast (just a quick glimpse), we saw nothing more. Perhaps Bigfoot was as afraid of us as we were of it? Regardless, we did not tell another soul of our strange experiences, we did not want to be the talk of the town.

The nights were beginning to grow cooler and the moon was full when we first heard a strange noise in the middle of the night. It sounded as if someone was hitting a baseball bat against a tree. None of us ever heard a noise like that before, and we had no idea what it was or who was making it. Certainly no wild animals made a sound like this. We thought that it might be an echo carried on the cooler air currents.

That was not the only thing keeping us awake at night. People always say the worse thing about Bigfoot is how bad and awful they smell, all I can say is that is the understatement of all time. Imagine the smell of rotting meat and a skunk, mixed together. One moon filled night I woke up to the most putrid odor I have ever smelled. It was so strong, and so overwhelming that I actually threw up, as did several other family members. Never have I smelled anything so vile in my life, and I have changed some wicked diapers in my day. Nothing, nothing on earth can even compare to the odor of Bigfoot, if indeed that is what we were smelling. I have lived in rural areas all my life, I know bad smells, but this went way beyond that.

Bigfoot is very active at night, and if Bigfoot does not sleep, nobody sleeps. It seems as if these beasts knew our every move, and just when everyone was tucked in for the night and ready to fall asleep all hell would break loose. It was almost like a tribal uprising of sorts. I think that after Bigfoot saw my two brothers, and how weak and sickly they seemed.... Bigfoot figured they had nothing to fear from us.

Every night right after 11:00 PM the fun would start. There would be a lot of the wood on wood noises, and that was scary because it seemed to come from many areas. Were we surrounded by Bigfoot or did it just sound that way? Of course the smell always seemed to be there, but it got worse at night. I assumed they moved in closer to the house to see what we were doing. My youngest daughter swore something big was watching her through an upstairs bedroom window, however we shook that off as an over active imagination, but all these years later she claims it is true. Perhaps Bigfoot was standing on something, and was just able to peer into the window?

After awhile we got used to the noise and bad smell, Bigfoot quickly gave up after about a half hour and things would quiet down after that. We would turn off all the lights and look out the windows hoping to see a Bigfoot. We were hoping for an early snow that year, because with snow on the ground and a bright moon it was almost as light as daylight. My brothers had caught Bigfoot fever. Never have I seen two guys so engrossed. They simply ate, slept and breathed Bigfoot. They would daydream about being the first human to capture a Bigfoot, and they devoted endless hours of their spare time in conversations pertaining to Bigfoot.

During this time, I did not really believe they had seen a Bigfoot, however I knew there was something big living in the woods, something making those noises, something that seemed intelligent enough to know our schedules, and I was grateful for my brothers being there with me and my children. I doubt I would have been able to sleep at all if I was there alone with the children. Being busy with work and cooking and cleaning for 3 children and 2 brothers, I had little time to think about much else. Then one cold night that all changed.

It was right around midnight when I woke up to a noise that sounded like an enraged bull. If you ever lived on a farm you know what that sounds like and how scary it can be. It was very loud and whatever was bellowing sounded to be simply enraged. My brothers met me in the upstairs hallway, their deer rifles cocked and on the ready. For some reason the children never woke up that night, why I do not know, to this day it is a mystery to me.

I did not know what was making this horrible noise but I knew it was dangerous. We looked out the windows but could see nothing at all. The noise seemed to be coming from the woods, and then we heard more bellowing from another area of the woods! We were wondering if Bigfoot was fighting each other or just getting themselves psyched up to come after us. Whoever says Bigfoot is a gentle giant never heard what we heard that night. Soon the entire woods was alive with strange noises, we had no idea what was going on, then we saw pumpkins flying through the air, hundreds of pumpkins flying all over the place, and it soon became clear that Bigfoot was throwing pumpkins, stones, rocks, and branches at not us, but at each other. It was an all and all Bigfoot war. When a rock or pumpkin found its mark and a Bigfoot was hit there was a horrible screeching noise as if it were in horrible pain.

My oldest brother and I were hiding by the edge of the pumpkin field. We laid in a ditch and watched the Bigfoot war, which quickly became hilarious.

On one side of the field was what looked like an alpha male Bigfoot. He walked back and forth and thumped his chest. He hunched his shoulders to appear bigger and meaner. On the other side of the field were two smaller males, probably trying to move in on the alpha male's territory. They too were pacing back and forth, thumping their chests and trying to look as mean as possible.

They would take turns hurling pumpkins back and forth, and instead of running or ducking when an incoming pumpkin came near, they just stood there and let it hit them. Then they howled as if they were mortally wounded or something. Neither side was willing to run over and attack. I think Bigfoot's main weapons are its ugliness and the horrible stench they leave behind. They certainly would not win any medals for valor or courage.

My brother and I laid in the ditch and watched for maybe a good half an hour. The howling and bellowing went on and on and we were wondering when they would get tired out and go back home, wherever that was. Finally we had seen enough, after awhile it got a little boring. We decided it would be best to scare them off to some other location. My brother got up and shot a few times over their heads with his deer rifle. That was enough to make them shut up instantly. The two younger Bigfoot ran into the woods. The older alpha male jumped when he heard the shot go off and then he looked as if he fainted, but came to when he hit the ground with a huge thud. He got up, farted really, really loud, and ran into the woods. To say the least my brother and I just about died with laughter!

After this happened, I was never scared of Bigfoot again. After that night we never saw any more Bigfoot, I think those shots scared them away for good. Obviously Bigfoot likes pumpkins, because over half our crop was gone. I know deer like pumpkin too, but we could tell the difference between the deer eaten pumpkins and the pumpkins we thought were eaten by Bigfoot.

If you want to find a Bigfoot, use your nose. If there is a Bigfoot around, you will smell it, even if it is very far away. It is a unique odor that is very hard to forget. Sometimes I think I can still smell it when I am that field where we raised pumpkins.

After this experience, I believe there is something related to the giant apes of the past that has survived and continue to live in remote regions. Is this a stretch of the imagination? Not really, Bigfoot reminds me a lot of a gorilla, only more human. Maybe it is the missing link? Who knows?

We live in a sandy area where it is hard to see foot prints, and other than the pumpkins, we had no physical evidence of Bigfoot. Furthermore, because my children did not want people to make fun of them, we told no one of our Bigfoot encounter.

All these years later, we still live on the same farm, but we have yet to see another Bigfoot. But, you never know what could happen. We believe that one day, the Bigfoot will return. We would have no trouble recognizing the big alpha male who farted like a banshee, and we still laugh whenever we talk about the "Bigfoot War".

Jesus Christ 2 years ago

The film that Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin made in 1967 in Northern California at Bluff Creek of Bigfoot was real. Here is what they filmed 42 years ago on October 20 1967. Long before Jesus was born there were thousands of slaves who ran off around the world and started their own countries. When these slaves ran off there was a large group of men and boys of all different ages and sizes that took off and ended up in Africa. Some of them were big and tall. Some as tall as 9 ft. or taller. There were giants back then just like we have giants now. Some of these men and boys went exploring to Borneo and caught female Orangutans and took them to South America and had sex with them and created the American Indian. The men and boys who stayed in Africa caught female Gorillas and had sex with them and created the Black man. When scientists found the bones in Africa they thought we evolved from a female Chimpanzee. But it wasn't a natural evolution it was a man made evolution. That's where Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Orangutan Man and the Skunk Ape comes from. They are half man and half Gorilla and half man and half Orangutan. They use to call the American Indian the red man. The Orangutan has reddish hair. When those men bred out the hair the Indian's skin remained red. The Gorilla has black hair and skin. When those men bred out the hair the Black man's skin remained black. Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Orangutan Man and the Skunk Ape are not prehistoric creatures from millions of years ago but they are man made creatures from several thousand years ago. Some of the Indians and Africans are tall. And some of the Bigfoots are tall. They are tall because the men who created them were tall. Scientists believe that we evolved from a female Chimpanzee. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever seen an 8 ft. tall Chimpanzee? I haven't either. The creature that Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin filmed in 1967 was half man and half Gorilla. It was a female Bigfoot and they named her Patty. Patty was not a man in a costume, she is not our missing link and she is not a figment of our imagination. Patty was a creature that was created by men that had sex with female Gorillas and Orangutans a long time ago.

JC- If what you are saying is true, it can be proved with DNA, and certainly by now we would have seen it on the History Channel.

The American Indians are Asian. They came to North America when the Bering Straits were frozen over. The Native Americans of the east coast of America came from Europe during the last ice age. They simply salied along the rim of the glacier until they landed in North America. This theory is new, but it has also been recently proven. Take a good look at Indians, their skin is a little darker than a white person, but they certainly are not red. They got the name "redman" from the various plants they rubbed into their skin that made their skin a dark copper color. If anyone could be called the "redman" it would be the white race, just look at how often most people, especially older white people blush bright red! One of my biggest problems for me is having very light skin and easily turning bright red when even a little flustered. Yes, it gets to be embarrassing!

If man was having sex with apes, I doubt an offspring would ensue. The genetic mutations would be lethal. This too has been proven with DNA. And knowing mans lusty nature, if they really were having sex with apes, they would still probably be doing that! ( Maybe they still are!) Anyhow, we don't see a whole new batch of strange Man/apes walking around every generation or so!

Scientists believe that all humans can trace their origins back to a single black woman (Lucy) who lived in Africa. I do not know if that is true or not, but it makes sense.

And let us not forget that other angle...that God made man in his own image. A great number of people believe we were "seeded" here from an alien race. I don't know if this idea holds water either, but it is interesting.

Many things can now be proven with DNA, and one day soon, I believe that all these things that we wonder about can be proven one way or another.

As for Bigfoot, I believe he is simply a great ape that has been living here all along. Native Americans knew about him too, as well as many other tribes of people throughout the world. If you look at any ape species, they look very human, but they are NOT half man, half ape....they are 100% ape.

And, did God make man in his own image? I believe that is true. I believe that we are of mystical origin as is the very earth itself. I believe a supernatural power is responsible for all on the earth and I believe that we will never really know all the mysteries that is GOD.

AMEN!

Hey magnoliazz, I could read this hub as truth or fiction and find it interesting! Perhaps I will forward it to my brother in Wisconsin. He can be on the lookout. Did your little one recover from this terrible fright? As another mother of three, my instincts flashed red flags as you related the wet pants incident.

Thanks for your tempered response to Jesus Christ. You are very patient. I wasn't aware that the Native Americans in the US arrived from different locations- what about the midwest tribes? As the Lakota say, mitakuye oyasin- we are all related!

I have lived in Wisconsin most my 51 years, while I do believe bigfoot exists in this state(Wisconsin)I do not believe ths BS story posted here from central Wisconsin(where I am from). If bigfoot was as bold and aggressive here, there would be a constant flow of reports...there is not. Only an occassional one, here and there, mostly from the northwestern part of the state.

Dear Storytellerus-

If you go to NetGeo, you can find out more info about the human migration out of Africa into the rest of the world.

The Native American tribes in the west come out of Asia, while the Native Americans from the east...(who look a lot different than the Indians from the west) came from Europe, and you have to admit, they LOOK European too. During the last ice age, these cavemen simply sailed along the glacier to the new world. Pretty amazing, but they are starting to prove all this with DNA testing.

And.. I told this story in the first person, but it was a second hand account, told to me by another person, as I stated at the beginning of this hub. As far as I know all three of her children are doing well.

Here you go Soul Drifter, a recent sighting of Bigfoot in Clark county ...where this story took place. I don't know where you live in Central Wisconsin, but I consider Clark County as being in Central Wisconin. See the next comment for a map of Wisconin with recent Bigfoot sightings!

Report # 2215 (Class A)

Submitted by investigator Trisha Cameron on Thursday, April 06, 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Newspaper deliveryman sees large gray colored creature that was walking on two legs and carrying dead animal. (Newspaper account, follow-up by the BFRO and Sheriff's documents included.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

YEAR: 2000

SEASON: Spring

MONTH: March

DATE: 28

STATE: Wisconsin

COUNTY: Clark County

LOCATION DETAILS: 1 1/2 miles from Granton on County Highway H.

York Township. 9 miles NE of the City of Neillsville.

NEAREST TOWN: Granton

NEAREST ROAD: County Highway H

OBSERVED: Initial report received as the associated media article linked below.

I spoke with James Hughes tonight and he sounded very credible.

Mr. Hughes told me that on the morning of March 28th at approximately 5:15 a.m.,he was driving on County Highway H, approximately 11/2 miles from his home, in Clark County, York Township, when he saw a large dark figure up ahead in the road. As he got within approximately 35 ft. of it, he saw this creature step down into a ditch on the side of the road. When he was almost up to it, approximately 200 to 300 yds. away, he said it was carrying something that looked like a goat or a sheep. When he got up to where it was, he slowed down to get a better look, and it turned and looked right at him.

Mr. Hughes said that it was covered with fur, even the face area, except for two darker spots that were where the eyes would have been. It had large, honey colored patches of fur all over it.

This area is aproximately 9 miles N.E. of the city of Neillsville and mostly farm land with some wooded areas.

Mr. Hughes got out of there as fast as he could and did not report this to the Clark County Sheriffs Dept. until the next day for fear that people would say he was crazy. The Sheriffs Dept. sent a Deputy to check the area out but he did not find any footprints or other evidence. Mr. Hughes said that there is a very large hayfield where he saw this creature and that the ground is very hard sod which would not show footprints. He thinks that this creature must have come across this hayfield.

Official Sheriff's Report

ENVIRONMENT: Rural area. Mostly farmland with some wooded areas.

Clark county is more north central and Clark county has had reports of Ole Footy there in the past...still the story is counter to what I have learned about them and I have studied bigfoot for many decades. A battle with pumpkins sounds like something a child would make up. If the story is indeed true than there is something odd not to have much more steady reports.

Someday soon I hope to hunt one down with a tranquilizer rifles and a search group to track them in the snow. They can be had...no one as yet seriously tried.

Interesting information on big foot. In India, people living near the Himalayan mountain range believe there are Yetis(Abominable Snowman) roaming all along the region. I think they are the brothers of Bigfoot...LOL

I think I used to rent a room to that guy, I didn't know his name was Big Foot, but he did go through a awful lot of socks. And man he always needed to shave. Its good to see him getting out, the fresh air will do him good.

And I kinda feel bad, I used to laugh when he told me that whereever he went people kept trying to take his picture. I thought he just smoked a lot of pot...but he was telling the truth. I wonder if he ever found a girlfriend.

I kicked him out when I caught him messing around with my ex...you know, Big Feet, Big Cook...

I love Bigfoot stories and am always intrigued to read them. When I was in 7th Grade all the local elementary schools in Cincinnati had a big science fair at the University of Cincinnati field house. There were lots of biology, geology and kinetic experiments and reports in every aisle. My project was about Bigfoot - I made a plaster cast approximating a bigfoot print, plus lots of photos and of course an essay... I wish I still had the project! While I don't believe in BF like I did as a 7th grader, you won't catch me camping in Northern California any time soon. (Wisconsin though... Come on!) Anyway entertaining hub... Oh, and, if you've never seen "The Legend of Boggy Creek" you should rent it sometime - it's awesome!

Hello Peter

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment.

This story is obviously a work of fiction, however, there have been Bigfoot report in Wisconsin and there was even a segment on Mysteryquest about a Bigfoot in Wisconsin.

I think it is very possible for there to be a large primate roaming around. There have been reports of big black cats for ages and about a year ago, they finally got a picture of a black mountian lion, right here in Wisconsin.

If you are ever out in the fields and wilderness of Wisconsin, you quickly realize that lots of things that could be living there without humans knowing about it.

How many times have you ever seen a bear? There are lots of bears where I live, and I never saw one or any evidence of one, and bears are BIG!

I think we have to keep an open mind, and I hope some teachers will read your comment. That project at school made you an open minded person, and I think that is a good thing.

MAGZ,

i AM OF THE MINDSET THAT BIGFOOT, SASQUACH, SKUNK APE ARE REAL. however, i believe they are special, extra dimmentional beings thats why we never sem to find them. They phase in and out of our dimention- how else can they never get lairs found- if there were 6-8 in Wisconsin during the story how id they all run away and hide so easily?

They seem to tell time show up at the "right times"... Dogs who can track almost any faint scent-can't find something that stinks at 50-70feet away- but no one can find them... seems kinda strange the Whoudini

act... extradimmentional its the only way ..hehe

Bigfoot is an interesting topic and one that I have followed for nearly 35 years. After 35 years and reading a thousand reports and watching hours of programs regarding Bigfoot, I think I have formulated a theory.

Since I have studied many different religions, science, evolution, geography, cryptozoology, and Biblical Scripture over the past 25 years, I think it is safe to say that "I have done my homework" and I know where I stand and why. Through it all I have come to the conclusion that it is better to stand on The Rock than on shifting sand, therefore upon Christ Yeshua and His Father in Heaven (The Rock of Ages) I rest my weary feet.

Since I wholeheartedly endorse and believe the creation account in the Old Testament to be both true and accurate, I also must believe that The Almighty's creation was good and He was satisfied with His creation before He rested on the "seventh" day (according to Scripture).

Now, this is where things get a little fun and a little philosophical. My first thought on this issue is whether or not Bigfoot or wolfman were created in the original six days or "ages" of time described in the Book of Genesis. If they were, then they would be considered "good" by God's standards. Now, if they were not an original creation and came into being through other channels, than they may be considered "evil". I know in the Old Testament The Almighty said that all the wild animals are His, but the "evil beasts" are not.

This, then, brings up another interesting question: What is the difference between a wild animal and an evil beast? Then again, can animals know right from wrong or good from evil?

My take on this subject is that wild animals cannot discern right from wrong or good from evil, whereas those beasts who can discern good from evil and choose to do evil have been set at odds with The Almighty and His Son. Another angle on this point is that perhaps these "evil" beasts may have no choice but to do evil, because they came into existence through evil forces or through a curse.

In this regard, they may not know right from wrong or good from evil, but are compelled to do what is evil because the very elements from which they were created were either evil or cursed. I hope that makes sense.

The next thing that comes to mind is whether Bigfoot or the Dogman are "evil" creatures. I will tell you that according to eye witness reports, wild animals of all types (including huge west coast grizzly bears) seem to panic and are put to flight when Bigfoot comes near. Even the birds, crickets, and frogs seem to hold their collective breath when he is around.

In addition, almost every account I have read where a human has encountered a Bigfoot in close proximity has resulted in extreme fear and on a few occasions - death.

Taking this into consideration I have to ask myself whether or not Bigfoot would have been allowed on Noah's Ark? I am inclined to doubt it because Bigfoot seems to bring out the worst in the animals kingdom and within the realm of mankind as well. I just cannot see Bigfoot on a huge barge-like ship for an entire year without stirrng up all kinds of trouble.

Now, since I cannot support the argument that Bigfoot was an original wild animal created before the "seventh" day of creation, I also must reject him as being "good", because The Almighty said His creation was "Good" and if God says something is good, you know it has to be very, very good.

So, to recap: I do not believe Bigfoot was part of The Almighty's fine handywork before He rested on the seventh day and I do not believe Bigfoot would have been allowed on the Ark of Noah. And since I reject both these possibilities, I must also reject the notion that Bigfoot and Dogman can tread water for a full year. This is to say that they would have drowned in the Great Flood of Noah.

Therefore, since Bigfoot cannot tread water for one year, was not part of the original creation, and would not have been allowed on Noah's Ark, he must have come into existence sometime after the Flood.

The reason The Almighty flooded the world is that all men and women were evil (except Noah's small family) and evil angels impregnated human women as well as animals creating some horrific monsters. These evil angels were also cross breading animals thus creating a plethora of freaks of nature. But, all these things died in the flood, so where does that leave us?

I have said all this to come to this point. And the point I want to make is that in the ancient book of Jashar, which is referenced twice in the Old Testament (see 2 Samuel 1:18 and Joshua 10:13), it states that at the Tower of Babel some of the people were cursed by The Almighty in such a way that they became like apes and elephants. Jashar did not say they became apes or elephants, but that they became "like" apes and elephants. I believe the meaning here is that they had qualities belonging to apes and others had qualities belonging to elephants. It is entirely probable that apes and elephants were not the only creatures used to curse these rebellious people, so jackels, wolves, and bats may have been some of the other possibilities, hence the creation of "Mothman" and "Wolfman".

Again, in the Book of Job it sounds like Job had a run in with some of these Bigfoot creatures, but I think the ancient Hebrews understood who they were and what had happened to these people, thereby rendering them a little sympathy (at least for awhile). Little by little these cursed creatures were driven away from society and I believe, in time, crossed over to Alaska and subsequently settled throughout North American well before humans arrived.

I think Bigfoot is interested in humans and does not seem to be very shy. He plays it smart, but he has not totally forgotten the days when he was like us and perhaps he hopes that one day he will be like us once more. Through it all Bigfoot has retained a little of his humanity, which you can see in his eyes, but he is now bound to a hulking, hairy body stinking of sulfur and rotting flesh.

Wow, Lone Ranger, sounds like you're drunk on the Kool-Aid.

I am all for intelligent discourse, Voice of Reason, but your quip does not do much to stimulate a friendly debate. Do you know something that we do not? Are you sitting on evidence that proves that a secret society is behind these sightings over the past 1,000 years? If so, please enlighten us, but please do not resort to hit and run tactics.

Excellent article, Magnoliazz, entertaining and informative.

By the way, I really enjoyed all the pictures you provided with your article, but I really got excited about the second to last video in this Hub (the one about the two men who went into the hills panning for gold). Good stuff!

I have been studying Bigfoot for many years now and that video, in particular, is exactly the kind of material that I have been looking for. Thank you so much for this wonderful Hub and for being the fine lady that you are.

The fact that your friend didn't bother to try and take photos of the bigfoot fight leaves me a bit sceptical. If they had, they would be millionaires.

Yes, Bigfoot is alive and well here in Wisconsin. Few people are willing to go public because they are afraid what people will say about them.

Personally I think that Bigfoot is a great ape that has lived alongside mankind for thousands of years. I don't think there is anything paranormal about it, but that does not make it any less scary.

Sitting here in my Wisconsin home I am well aware that if a Bigfoot really wanted to get in here it could easily rip the front door off its hinges. If a bear can do it, Bigfoot can do it too. These are huge massive creatures and their strength must be incredible, yet I have never heard of a Bigfoot killing someone. Therefore they must be okay with us humans, for now at least.
